Why is this interesting for me?

This course provides insight into the world of civil engineering and earth resources (CIVER), compact with a unique combination of practical visits and theoretical course programs as well as leisure activities at beautiful places. The course includes, one day exploratory CIVERace at the heart of Sungai Lembing, Pahang which is also known as El Dorado of the East; El Dorado in Spanish means “the golden one”. This historical and heritage town deserves the title due to an enormous underground tin mines spanned 322 km in length and 700 m depth, which were the longest and the deepest tin mines in the world back in 1888 to 1985. The CIVERace emphasises the practical visit as a part of the theoretical course in lectures. The highlight of the CIVERrace is on the underground tin mines, iconic hanging bridge, museum, crystal house, miner’s old living quarters, iconic big tree and town’s flood history. In addition, the visit to the beautiful Rainbow Waterfall and tour at Kuantan City Esplanade, will enrich the participants’ experience of the beauty of our rainforest and also the discovery of the biodiversity from the upstream till the downstream of the Kuantan River.
