Learning objectives
To absorb and appreciate the unique tropical heritage and diverse culture of the Malaysian community. Specifically it will:
Enable you to understand better the natural heritage concept and observe the integrated conservation efforts for sustainability and eco-tourism
Allow you to experience at first hand and document visually various geological and biological heritage of Langkawi Island, Chini Lake, Danum Valley and Kinabatangan River
Enable you to analyse the effectiveness of the various conservation initiatives in Malaysia.
What do I expect to learn?
You will learn about the concept of nature heritage, sustainable development of nature conservation. You will also study the physical landscape and bio-diversity of Malaysia's tropical ecosystem.
